Researchers from Pohang University of Science and Technology have one clear recommendation for electric vehicle owners and anyone using lithium-ion powered devices: "Don't use your battery until it runs out."

  • High-nickel batteries regularly depleted: Only 3.8% capacity retention after just 250 cycles

This dramatic difference could mean years of additional service from the same battery simply by changing charging habits.
